The Sheringham Shoal Offshore Wind Farm site is located in the Greater Wash, between 17 and 23 kilometres off the north Norfolk coast.
The wind farm itself consists of 88 x 3.6 MW wind turbines all of which are linked to two offshore substations. The offshore substations are connected to the shore by two 22km submarine cables, which come ashore near Weybourne. From the landing point, the onshore cables are approximately 21.6km long and connect to the onshore substation at Salle, near Norwich.
